Peonies Rule! (or do roses?)

My favorites, roses and peonies. This is 'Sarah Bernhardt'. The bloom is about 6 inches across. Wonderful. Makes me think of Tasha Tudor.

Peonies for Mom

The dark pink peonies were transplanted from my Mother's yard back in 2001 or so. Then transplanted again to our new yard in 2006.

Rose 'Julia Child'

I know why Julia Child picked this rose to be her namesake. It's very buttery! Like buttah.

Sunset Inspiration

I lift up my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from?

Chimenea is back in business

Chimenea patch work held through a small pinon fire and then a lot of rain.

Thornless Blackberry

Blackberry 'Arapaho'. Thornless is good.

Elderberry Transplant

Elderberry transplanted doing OK I think because of all the rain. Thanks Toni!

Soggy Bottom Boys

Rain, Rain, and more Rain. The fence is to keep the rabbit out. Twirly things to keep the birds out. Our backyard is like a park -- full of critters.
